I have a GV80 and recently left Phoenix for our journey back to Montreal via the southern USA. Had my destination set and it was I-10 all the way to El Paso. Saw an electronic sign just south of Phoenix saying long delays due to serious accident. Usually by the time you get there the accident is cleared up mostly. My Nav System started recalculating the route and asked to take the next exit. I ignored it as from previous Lexus and Jaguars they just send off to nowhere. Kept going. Told me again at next exit. I ignored as I was at 75 mph.
Told me again at next exit and brakes were coming on so I took it. Well. Highway was closed for many hours later and all traffic was re routed. It took me 10 miles out of my way and an hour extra but if I stayed in it would have been 3 or more hours. It brought me back on I-10 just after the accident. 3 dead and a disaster crime scene.
Next, im in Louisanna a few days later and it does the same thing. 1-10 is sailing at 75mph and it says to exit.i did and it took me on a country road for 8 miles. It hooked me back up to 1-10 and again I could see the accident and I just cleared it. Another few hours saved. Trust tge System when it does this. It’s amazing. Done by satellite. I don’t know of any other car that dies this.
