My guess is no. I do not lock my car in the garage and when I walk away, it doesn’t lock.

I have tested mine and it doesn't lock when you walk away. This would be a great software update.

I tried looking in the owner's manual and I can't seem to find anything about auto locking doors.

This is a very nice feature I wish it had. It has been available on BMW X5 from at least 2019.

I haven't experienced the doors automatically locking. I have either had to lock the doors with the key fob or touch the button on the door handle after closing the door. By the way when you lock the doors the sideview mirrors automatically retract. When you approach the car the sideview mirrors open up again automatically.

The retracting mirrors can be stopped in the vehicle settings if you don’t care for that feature.
