Hey everyone. Currently driving a 2017 G80 and I've been absolutely thrilled with it. If you are able to overlook the badge, there's a crazy amount of value to be found here. Really looking forward to seeing what they deliver with their future models and I've got my eyes on the GV.

Welcome to the forum KK. The upcoming G70 is looking extremely promising as well, and I'm hoping that it will be a big turning point for the brand. Badge bias aside, I really don't feel like there is a whole lot left to differentiate Genesis models from German rivals.

IMO Genesis has a long way to go and what they need more than anything to reach the next step is a trim similar to Maybach. It will give them the reasons needed to offer more without worry of missing out on sales.

Imo its the customer service side where they need to make improvements. Hyundai dealerships are still a ways behind in terms of the services that they offer to Genesis owners. What happened to the stand alone dealerships?

I think a positive customer service experience comes with a rich sales environment and of course Toyota's are some of the best selling,

Genesis decided to reorganize their whole network for the launch of the G70 and their other new models. Allocations are still very sparse depending on the region and less Hyundai approved shops should mean better trained, knowledgeable staff.

I was disappointed that they didn't launch a coupe version of the G70 which would sit well with their focus on targeting the BMW 3-Series crowd.
Would any of you here be interested in a 2-door coupe G70?

The sedan segment is a tough one to start in, especially in todays market. While a coupe may see a bit more interest, Genesis will have to rely on a flagship crossover to really plant themselves.

Genesis is lucky, they can recover from these early mistakes.
Most crossovers these days are based on platforms similar to the current lineup of Genesis sedans.
As you can assume, in the future Genesis crossovers/CUV's/SUV's will be based on those.
