Matte Paint in US

Has there been any word on the availability of matte paint being offered in the US in the future? I can't believe it's a shipping problem as I've read some people saying, my last Mercedes was matte grey and shipped from Germany (with no problems). Love the car, the only thing keeping me from buying it is I've really been in love with matte paint since my Mercedes, and want that for my next car as well.

If anyone's got any more info, would love to hear it!

Thanks.

From all sources, it's not coming to the US. Maybe Genesis will change their mind and offer matte in following years, but it will not be currently available.

If they plan on doing it, and I’m sure they will in order to keep up with the other brands, it will be a few years.
Yeah, that's my fear. I'll have purchased my next car by then most likely.
Several matte colors are available in Australia now. My buddy and fellow car nut there said the matte green looks fabulous. Not in a hurry. I’m waiting for it.
Agree, I'm going to hold off on purchasing until the matte colors are available here and hoping I haven't bought something else by then.
Matte paint is extremely difficult to match, like from an accident.

Yeah, I had a break in with my old Mercedes "Magneto Grey Matte". Just had to find the right body shop to do the work. Do agree, it's more difficult to deal with if you need body work, but IMHO, look SO NICE!

I like the matte paint also, but I needed (wanted?) a new car now. I have a Goldcoast GV80 and I really like it.
If I HAD to have a matte finish and it wasn't available, I would get the car wrapped. I am also on an Aston owners site and have seen a number of Astons wrapped and most looked great
Welcome to the forum @Ryan.
Wrapping is the best option. Have you considered it?
