My GV60 was delivered late last night from Connecticut! A lot for me to process and get set up. I cannot believe how smoothly it rides and the power it makes. šŸ˜

Story: I purchased from Genesis of Fairfield after watching Out of Spec Dave's taking delivery video. I reached out to Charles the manager there and got on the list. He sells the GV60 for MSRP. I did everything over the phone and email. I arranged shipping from Connecticut to Ohio and it arrived late last night! I would highly recommend getting yours from Genesis of Fairfield!

Thank you. The Uyuni has a nice sparkle in the sun to it. I love a white car and the silver accents look better than expected in person!
You are correct - never saw one nor drove one. Two days in and I am VERY impressed. The ride quality is amazing. As smooth as a Lexus and quieter too. The power is there of course, as an EV, and I see why owners of an EV don't want to go back to ICE vehicles. It will be some time before they are sold in Ohio but I am very happy I didn't wait for that. I am enjoying this GV60 immensely.

That’s great to hear. I am currently driving a Mustang Mach-E and had a Model Y before that but the GV60 really has my interest. I am in Indiana and I’ve been in contact with Genesis of Fairfield on Friday and their call center contacted me as they indicated they have a performance available but nobody from sales has contacted me back. Can you tell me who you worked with as it seems you had a great experience with them. Thanks
Contact Charles Goldstein directly at 845-729-6495. He is the Fairfield Genesis Brand Manager. He added me to the list and called me about a week or two later once he knew the August allocation. Sent me the Window Sticker and asked if I wanted it. I gave him a $500 deposit and three weeks later my beautiful GV60 Performance arrived. We did all paperwork remotely. My shipper showed up, they loaded the GV60 and he delivered to to my house 12 hours later. It is one of the easiest transactions I have ever done. IF you want one as MSRP, call him and get on this list. He should know his September allocation next week. Tell him John from Ohio sent you!
Good Luck,
John

Thanks. Just curious what did it cost to have the car delivered to you in Ohio?
It cost me $1000. I used UShip.com and entered my shipping details - date/time, from CT to OH and then took bids for a few days, selected a shipper, and the brought the GV60 to me! I specified a covered carrier so that made my price more but I didn't trust an open bed truck from CT to OH. Covered all the way!

Nice car, mine is exactly the same.
Fantastic. Four days in and I am loving it. There is so much to learn and enjoy. I am blown away by how smoothly it drives and rides. I keep mine in comfort for most driving so far and it is serene.

Yeah, I at least got a little time with the "specialist" at the dealership who registered my phone and key card (which don't work) before I started on my way home. I really loved that Navy interior.
YEP - the Navy interior sold me on the performance, and the 21" wheel design.
Since I shipped mine, I didn't get any time with a specialist so I am still working my way through things. Loving every second of it.
Yes, I love how quiet it is. I was driving our Ioniq5 yesterday, and there is really no comparison. I can't believe how much I drive it with no radio on.
Agreed! I rode for for hours in my friend's brand new Ioniq 5 and I kept thinking how noisy it was - like a roar! I didn't say anything to him however but Genesis really made the GV60 feel significantly more premium!
For those of you who got it, did anyone get it after August 16th? I'm sad/upset that we missed the Federal EV Credit. I read online that there's news of South Korea going to ask Biden/file w/ the WTO for a waiver for Korean companies...
I am bummed for sure since I missed out by a week. However, that wasn't the reason for getting the GV60 nor a reason to not get a GV60. If they change it up and allow it through 2022, I would be pleased.

Just like @GenesisJohn i contacted Charles Goldstein at Genesis of Fairfield CT and just purchased a GV60 Performance in Silver with a black interior. Just signed all the documents and the car is legally mine. Just waiting now for it to be shipped to Indiana which should happen in the next few days. Sold my current car a Mustang Mach-E First Edition to CarGurus for basically what I bought it for back in February 2021. Now I’m waiting which we all know is the hardest part. I’ll post pictures once the car is delivered.
Outstanding! If anyone wants a GV60 - call Charles @Fairfield Genesis

When you received the GV60 how was the fit and finish of the vehicle. I have seen pictures and read comments concerning gaps and minor finish issues. I have a 2022 Audi Etron arriving this month but am really intrigued with the GV 60.

thanks for your feedback
My fit and finish is perfect. It feels on par with any Lexus I have owned (3). Everything feels premium to me! Will report any issues but 1 week in, I am very happy with it.

John, I live in Maryland and have been working on getting a GV60, but Genesis now tells me I have to take it back to a certfied Genesis GV60 dealer for service. I know these aren't sold in Ohio either; what is your plan for service? Do you know if Hyundai can maybe service the GV60 since they have the Ioniq electric car?
I am making the Genesis Concierge solve it. They cannot make a dealership do the work nor will a certified Hyundai do the work. However, the Genesis Concierge offered to let me go to a tire shop to get my tires balanced and get reimbursed. I expect the first service, which is a tire rotation, will be the same. Ohio is supposed to get some certified EV dealers early in 2023 so I am taking that risk until then. My view is that Genesis MUST offer a solution to care for my vehicle, it is under warranty. The location and logistics might be unconventional for a bit but it will work out in the long run as the GV60 rollout hits my state. Happy to talk more if you like.

I figured out an email address for the Genesis executive in charge of customer satisfaction and after market sales. He said pretty definitively that work on the car may only be done by dealers currently authorized to sell the GV60. He specifically said I should wait until it's offered for sale in Maryland, which he said should be in the first quarter of 2023. I went back to my salesperson who seemed genuinely stunned that no one else could work on it and said he'd go talk to his regional manager. For me, it seems like this car needs very little routine maintenance for the first 6 months so from that perspective I'm less worried, but I have bought cars before which had defects almost immediately and that is my bigger concern.
I may have a bigger problem than you because I have outed myself to Genesis before purchasing the car. I think you are right to make Genesis deal since the car is under warranty and (I think) no one specifically told you ahead of time that you would not be able to get the car serviced in your state.
Oh I knew this! I chose to ignore it since Genesis did not prohibit the sale of the car outside of the four states. Get the GV60 if you want it. Then do as I and others are doing and have the Genesis Concierge help solve the issue. Again, my warranty states that the Genesis vehicle can be serviced in all 50 states and I have a valid warranty. Genesis must solve this for everyone since there isn't a geofence around the dealerships who can sell it.
