been waiting for a couple months to get a hitch for our new gv80 and finally got it installed. I ordered from the dealership and got it installed there as well. My first impression of it is ok, although I wish it was a little more discreet or incorporated into the bumper somehow (maybe they will do this in future models).
Pretty excited to finally get a hitch to tow bikes around. recommend genesis of Jersey city and avoid genesis of Brooklyn - I previously ordered the hitch there and had to take my business elsewhere since genesis of bk was so disorganized and blatantly lying. The environment, service and technology at Jersey city vs bk is so night and day.

Thanks for the pics. I guess it's more function than form at this point.

I agree, it would be nice to get something hidden right into the bumper.

If you don’t mind me asking, what did that cost you at the dealer?

Was 400+tax for the hitch and 2 hours of installation charge

So, I didn’t want to give dealer anymore money. Just had the Curt hitch installed at a local truck cal shop (Norton, MA) for $269 including parts/labor.

I see it on EBay in stock. But the price has gone up to $220.
Not sure where my guy found one, but he must have gotten a deal to only charge me $269 total.

GeeVee, for the OEM hitch, what is the distance from the ground to the bottom of the hitch?

It’s about 9.5 inches to the bottom of the hitch

The OEM wire harness is available at dealers , If you window sticker says wired for trailer then its easy to install . took me 30 minutes.

I leased my gv80 from Genesis of brooklyn. They are lying sleez balls. I regret buying in to their "top tier service"

Do you have issues bottoming out because of the way CURT did their safety chain loop? I have the same one installed by Uhaul (I bought the CURT hitch myself) and finding I bottom out alot

The 80 has a very low hanging rear bumper. Has to be below that so.....
But 9.5" is gonna drag going up driveways with an incline and such.
Nobody makes a nicely integrated trailer hitch (that I've ever seen), why would they bother when less than 10% of owners will put a hitch on?
