If they said July when you ordered in May...yeah, that's not even a possibility. Most of us are waiting 6 months or longer. I ordered mine March 1st. Was also told "it should be here in a few months...probably May". I've been pushed back a dozen times now...latest intel is September 14th. The troubling part is...the 2021 are coming to the end of production. Estimates state if the vehicle doesn't arrive by mid October, it will be a 2022. However, since the 2022 specifics have yet to be announced, there's no way to place an order for one and no one knows what content they will have. I think the dealerships are giving out promises they can't keep. Genesis doesn't allow "orders". They tell the dealerships what they will be sending them. The dealerships have a little bit of say as to what mix they want (more 2.5, more 3.5, etc.) but not much in the way of placing a request for a specific combination. I wish the dealerships would stop telling people "I placed the order for your exact combination". It's not true...they are only basing it on hopes and prayers for future deliveries. That's why they keep pushing us back...they are waiting for the computer to show they are getting what they promised a customer. It's a terrible way to do business frankly.

Apparently the global shipping issue has impacted delivery here in Australia. I ordered a 3.5l Luxury in May for a late July delivery....was told yesterday it will now be coming sometime in September as they couldn't get them all on the ship that arrived in August.....back to watching GV80 videos and driving by the displays in dealer windows

Order delayed again, now another 4-6 week delays...apparently shipping issues again.
Exploring the option of transferring my order to the 2022 model ( 6 seater) ...details to be worked out over the next three weeks...so that's nice.
Genesis Parramatta is being very well managed and they are very apologetic and trying to be accommodating.

It will be interesting to see what of these new additions are added to the US version. I'd love to see them added but there was so much that Korea got in the cars that the US didn't in the first year that it wouldn't surprise me to either not see these changes, at least not yet or to see them come with significant increase in the price of the Prestige trim which would most likely be the trim to offer these options. So have changed my order to the 2022 model with the 6 seater option, driver and passenger massaging chairs and entertainment console for second row....happy to wait to next year, cant really drive it in lockdown anyway.
In the US we cannot even place an order for the one with the captains chairs. We still don’t know if it’s a 4 or 6 seater or if it’s an Advanced + upgrade or a Prestige Upgrade. I spoke with my salesman the other day and he said they do not even see any 2022 Prestige coming as of yet. The highest trim they can see is Advanced + for ordering. But they were able to get two matte white GV80s that are on their way. And so far none of them have the ergo motion in both front seats that have arrived. Understand some delays around April time due to retool or something and now expecting 2023 model…. One day…So after even more delays, just got an email stating that my "Order is confirmed". it states they will tell me when it is in Production........We look forward to welcoming you to a New Era in Luxury.

I had a 2022 on order for 6 months and was told every month it's on order, it's coming. After 6 months I decided to daily check local and not so local dealer inventory online and found the exact model/color I wanted sitting on the lot (had just arrived the night before). I called, confirmed the car was in fact in inventory, drove over and made the deal. I canceled the order from the other dealer and got my deposit back. Got it in early July (11th to be precise), came in the 6 seater spec I ordered...very happy. did have to go back for the accessories I ordered..they were late and I had issues with the rear screens...also fixed...was a config error.Hi AusRob, what’s latest re your vehicle delivery or did it arrive? Just came back from a 3 day 2k kilometer trip...very happy with it.
Great news you received it 😀 Approximately 14 months wait by the look. Geez. The pain part is the sales people back in Jan this year advised me they knew of no delays with vehicles to date for customers but of course can’t predict the future. They knew… 😣
