Until there is a Dealer arrival date on the salesman's screen you won't know for sure. Until then it says the date is TBA. Have them send you a screen shot of the car on their system. This will tell you if there is a true date or if they are just guessing. Mine did arrive about 7 days prior to the dealer arrival date once we had that date.I’m wondering how accurate delivery dates are. My Prestige 3.5 is supposed to arrive Oct 5th. Do these vehicles ever arrive before their estimated date? What was your experience if you ordered?
Can you post the screen shot he sent you and I'll see if it looks like any of the 10 screen shots I got from my salesman while waiting on mine?He sent a screenshot but it just says “MA-ordered” under vehicle status. There is one column that was cut off so it could be there.

These are the following columns on that page after Vehicle status.
Just as I suspected…no ETA date nor a VIN. The sales guys make my blood boil! He isn’t showing the full screen because he knows he’s not being truthful. Heck…it doesn’t even show a model year which has me convinced it’s not a 2022 but a 2021 which may be coming. These are the following columns on that page after Vehicle status.
ETA Date - Order Type. - Trade Status. - Model Year - Model
So ask to see the rest of the screen to see which model year it is and the ETA date.
I see it doesn't yet have a true VIN number so until that happens there won't be a true ETA date to my knowledge.
Did you order yours from the website? I thought about doing that but all the dealers said it would be 6-8 months until it arrived. I found a local dealer who was getting the exact model I wanted so I put a deposit on that. Do you think that will be delayed too or just the ones that have been ordered?Ordered mine January 9. Expected delivery was March, then June, then August, now late September. If anyone orders a 3.5 Prestige get used to waiting.

As has been said before, you can’t order a Genesis…from the website or any other method. All you can do is ask the dealer what they are expecting and place a deposit on that. I was told “the exact one you are looking for is due soon…put a deposit on it and when it arrives it’s yours!”. Yeah…this seems to be what they all say, and then you wait 6-12 months. Frankly, i don’t think they ever see what’s coming that far out. They simply lie to get you to leave a deposit and stop you from shopping elsewhere.Did you order yours from the website? I ordered mine in March 2021 from a dealer with an estimated arrival of mid-August. I received it July 19th and they kept me informed every step of the way.I’m wondering how accurate delivery dates are. My Prestige 3.5 is supposed to arrive Oct 5th. I hear you about ordering. I think it’s just what the dealers are getting in and if it matches what you want then you can out a deposit on it. At least that’s my experience. How do you follow the incoming vehicles online? Do you match it to the AON number?I ordered a 3.5 Prestige in March. I was to,d at the time to give them a few weeks to know if the order would be accepted. They later confirmed it was accepted with an August delivery target. Then I got a call in July saying it was pushed out until mid-September. I don’t know if it’s accurate to say, you can “order” a Genesis. I do get online and follow the incoming vehicles to see if one shows matching what I ordered. if it’s going to be pushed out again, I guess I will be hearing from them in the upcoming week since we are 4 weeks out from the last ETA.
I do know all dealers are having trouble keeping delivery commitments. Some have pushed out until 2022. This is not limited to Genesis and has to do with the chip shortages in the industry.

The delivery date on the salesman’s screen is not going to be the delivery. Twice they have moved my delivery date. They are busy taking deposits with no inventory. Yep…they got me too! Gave them a deposit back in March, was told it’s coming soon…and nothing! Last I heard was MAYBE end of September…maybe not. This entire experience has really soured me to wanting to buy a Hyundai product again. Terrible sales experience so far.The delivery date on the salesman’s screen is not going to be the delivery.
