Congrats @GV802021GCSD how much did you pay OTD? Was it at MSRP or did they charge a mark up?
Personally I think mark-ups will be dependent on how big the area is that they are serving and how much interest they have on the cars. That’s why we are seeing a big difference from dealership to dealership. My dealership is adding a $9999 markup. ( heck they even mark up the Palisade calligraphy $5000) I was able to get them to come up on my trade a bit to take some off that, but they are pretty steadfast on the take it or leave it on the mark-ups. They’ve got buyers waiting in case you back out. I also think going forward that they might raise that mark-up on cars not pre-ordered as those will be slow coming and selling fast. my dealership got one dealer model that was sold and gone in 12 hours of arrival. I could foresee bidding wars on those not pre-ordered. Once these hit the streets and start to be noticed by those not big car enthusiasts that don’t even know about this car yet it will drive up the demand on dealer cars. Although most of the dealer cars seem to be either black or white and all 3.5tt prestige or advance+.

Picked it up today. Couldn't be happier so far. An absolutely great ride. Too much to learn though, made my head hurt trying to remember everything. Tomorrow is another day to figure out how everything works. I just wish I'd stop turning on the windshield wipers trying to put the car in reverse or spraying the wiper fluid when trying to go into park. I'll get use to it though.

Mine actually has dune/ultramarine blue interior. I just couldn’t go with the almost white of the vanilla seats. I’ve only driven it home from the dealer so far. Saturday it’s going on it’s first trip to show my sister 100 miles away. I’ll know more then. But right off the bat I can say that the Napa leather has such a delicious smell of a brand new baseball glove that just sitting in the driveway setting up features is a pleasure.

We will know more after tomorrow as we are driving it about 200 miles round trip. But so far so good. I don’t find the ride on the 22“ wheels any different really than my previous ML with 18” wheels. It’s about the same, at least not noticeably different. So to say very comfortable not rough at all.

The only thing I’ve had to get use to so far is that you have so many places to see traffic when you want to change lanes. There’s the standard mirrors, the rear view mirror, the dash cluster and the rear view alerts. It can be a little overwhelming. So for now I’m getting use to having so much information especially in moving video.

Driving it is a dream really. Just what you’d expect from a car of this caliber. I do have to say that because of the longer hood, it drives more like a tall sedan than a boxy SUV. and that’s okay It’s also for some reason easier to get in and out of. One note is that typically I use the folded Mirrors to see how close to be to my garage door opening. But the fender flares line up with the extended mirrors not the folded ones. So I have to leave them open when pulling in so I don’t scrape my fenders.

We will try the cruise control tomorrow and report back.

We set the ambient lighting to a dark blue to go with the interior colors And did go through and set up each item in the infotainment. That took about 30 minutes in the driveway. We set up the custom button on the center console for the car talk shortcut. But haven’t yet set up the one on the steering wheel.

Went back today for them to install the wheel locks, they are different, not just a nut but a whole bolt. So they had to be ordered.

Congratulations @GV802021GCSD that's one beautiful GV80! Curious to hear what you think about the ride quality on your trip.

So yesterday we drove it about 200 miles round trip. The car did not disappoint in any way. Much quieter than my Mercedes, a more fluid ride than my Mercedes, and so much more tech than my Mercedes. We tested out the Highway Driving Assist with the Smart Cruise Control and that worked great, the only thing is that since it will slow down to the speed of the car in front of you, you have to keep alert and change lanes or you will just be following the slower car not realizing that you've slowed down. Not a big problem but the car is so smooth you really don't notice you are slowing down because of the car in front. The alert that the driver in front is pulling away at traffic lights is nice. I don't often get distracted at lights but once in a while I will be reading a sign or looking at another car. So it's nice to have the heads up before someone honks at you. The lane keeping assist can sometimes feel like you are stuck in a groove in the road as it really wants to keep you in the center. So if you tend to drive left of center or right of center you might fight the wheel a bit but it's really centering you. We didn't get the lane change assist to work but realized once we got home and read the manual again that we were pushing the blinker stalk too far. You have to hold it at the 1/2 way position for it to change lanes for you. The cabin is ultra quiet. The navigation is informative and easy to read. We both have polarized sun glasses (so we will look for non polarized for the car) so you cannot see the heads up display with them on. So I had to be sure I knew where all of that information was without the heads up. Speed limit and speedometer are located in the upper left of the navigation screen. Turn by turn we put in the middle of the digital dash but it's also in the upper right of the navigation screen. I'm not sure yet if it will divert you due to traffic as we didn't encounter any traffic that could be diverted. But it does show traffic with green, yellow and red bands. But that also is on the nav when it wants you to drive slower so not sure if it's traffic showing or just road conditions. I'll have to look into that. We did notice that after 1 hour of driving the ergo seat automatically started through it's paces for about 10 minutes for the driver. That was a nice surprise. Other than that I don't think we had anything that we encountered that was't what we expected from a car of this class.

Yes, the navigation will divert you due to traffic conditions. It will be more of a surprise not realizing the navigation changed. However, some addresses don't show up in the car navigation which will show up in waze, and if you have a choice between car navigation directions or waze, the car will divert you quicker and better than waze
