is there anything special in how to maintain that paint finish?
Yes there is, but Genesis includes a Dr.Beasley’s kit for every matte finish car they sell. You have to wash matte vehicles by hand, and don’t apply any waxes or sealants. But there are a few ceramic coatings and waxes etc that are matte paint friendly. Matte cars are very much a pain but they look so good and catch peoples eye.

YES! You need special car washing soap that doesn't have any gloss and you can't take it to a car wash. You also can't wax or buff it - ever. You'll need to keep it clean, cleaner than a regular paint job. I'd say you'll want to clean it at least every other week, more often if you live in a cold climate where there's salt, dirt, etc on the road. Keep in mind, also, that if you get a scratch or a scuff you have two options: leave it, or paint the car. I've got a matte finish BMW and I'm pretty particular about taking care of my cars, so I've learned all of this in the past few months. When you do wash the car, use good wash mitts and try to move in straight lines across as opposed to circles when you wash. I even go so far as to dust mine in the garage between washes.

If you need any help finding the right products, hit me up and I'll send you links to what I use.

On the positive side, your car looks beautiful! Post more pics in the light if you can.

Cheers!
Corey
