HI….Just got my GV70 last week and had the trailer hitch installed by the dealer (since none were available at my local trailer hitch shop) and when I took delivery I jsut about fell over. UG-A-LY!! This thing sticks out so far and low that I had to get a new receiver piece as my trailer would hand so low on the strait piece.

Anyone else get an aftermarket one on here? I paid CAD$1100 installed and would not have minded it it were mostly out of view - but this thing takes the look of the car away and I think I’ll take it off.

Anyone get an aftermarket hitch in Canada that they would recommend?

Post a pic! Normal to need to get the right height riser for your trailer.
As long as it doesn't stick out past your bumper you're good. (with no ball insert piece on it, just the receiver)
they aren't there for looks.

I had the Hitch installed by the dealer and it does not extend beyond the rear of the car.

I'd add that most every after market is a direct copy of the dealer installed unit, so almost certainly no better.
