I read in the manual that Smart Park relies on other vehicles to align itself for parking. Does this mean that Smart Park will not pull the car into my garage with a woodworking bench on one side and my wife's Impreza 6 ft away on the other side ? Any thoughts ? ( I'm too chicken to try it . . .) Thanks

I have the same problem. Afraid to try, wondering if car will not pull in far enough because of closeness of mower, bench, etc. Afraid it’ll stop too soon and I won’t be able to get into car to move it myself.

I’m pretty sure it will, plus the gv80 can auto parallel and perpendicular park from the key fob.

I had the same question when I purchased my GV80. I figured it would be easier for my wife to have the "Self Park" feature pull it in and take it out of the garage. Unfortunately when I tried I got a message stating objects were too close for the "Self Park" feature to function. In the end I wound up fastening some wheel chocks to the floor to stop the GV80 in the right spot. There's enough room on the sides that I don't have to sweat it every time she pulls it out or brings it back in.
