Hello,

Has anyone else had trouble getting some settings to stick? There are two in particular that seem to reset each time I start the car. One is Smart Support for the seat- the setting that stiffens the bolsters as you switch into sport mode. The other is the Forward Collision Assist- which I keep trying to set to Warning Only. This is on a US Performance model

Thanks!

I don't know if I can really say how it is, besides that I like driving it. It's the first SUV I've owned, it's the first real electric car I've ever owned, it's the first 'luxury' car I've owned, it's the first non-manual transmission I've owned that wasn't built in the 60s or 70s.. So it's a whole bunch of firsts. That said- it's quieter than any car I've ever had, It's more automated than any car I've ever had. It's faster than any car I've ever had, but doesn't feel as quick as my motorcycle (even though it probably is).

I find myself sitting in it- before I start driving and when I stop- feeling like I should be doing something with an e-brake.. I'm sure I'll get used to all the automation eventually.

I only have a couple of pictures, and they are nothing special, but if you want to see what one looks like in real-world parking situations, I can throw them over on the pictures forum.

And in case anyone is here wondering about the Forward collision Assistance- in the GV80 forum there was someone having the same problem, and it was seconded by someone with a GV70- so maybe it's a software "feature" across the whole line, and not a bug

SURE - please do! It's great to see actual owner photos rather than the press photos.

Same thing with smart support. I have to enable it every time I get in the even though I save it to my seating profile.

It's probably not necessary, but the first time I got into the car and changed modes I thought it was pretty cool. After my profile was created it seemed to disappear and never come back.

That would be awful- At least my HUD stays put. Sometimes I think about wiping out my profile and starting over to see if that helps, but I'm worried that I'd never get the connected services to sync again.

So far, I've noticed two items where the settings don't always stick:

1. Car periodically reverts to Celsius. It seems to stick for a few days, then just randomly reverts to Celsius.

2. The widget display on my cluster. When a second driver uses the car and switches to their profile, the next time I use the car and switch back to my profile, the widget forces me to go through the setup wizard again.

Now that you mention it- I have had to set the widget a couple of times- though usually after valet mode. I assumed that the car wash guys hit the button too much.

Also one pedal driving (i-pedal) doesn't stick (resets to level 3 each time),
Isn't that intentional, by design though? Presumably there is some good (or at least rational) reason why i-pedal is not sticky.

Actually the one that bugs me is having to turn off lane-assist every single time that I start the car. I hate these primitive autopilot-type features and want nothing to do with them. But all new cars from whichever manufacturer seem to be the same - these features always default to on.

What reason would there be? Every other EV ex-HKG allows for a permanent one pedal driving mode.

And smart support for seat defaults to off. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.
