I placed a reserve for a Green GV80 Prestige in February 2020. To date I do not have the car, nor can the dealer, or it seems anyone else tell me what the ETA is for the vehicle. It has been over a year, and the lack of communication from the dealer and the Genesis company is really making me think twice about buying any Genesis vehicle.

What has been your experience? Have you had service from them, was it timely and pleasant? Is my experience more the norm or just a bad incident?
I'm really satisfied with my GV80. That being said the buying experience was more of what you expect when purchasing an economy car, not a $72,000 vehicle. I don't blame the salesperson as she's been trained to sell Hyundais not Genesis. I really felt like as soon as the paperwork was signed she wanted me out the door so she could move onto new business with the next customer.
I'm impressed with Genesis vehicles but they need their own dedicated showrooms, service centers and salespeople if they want to compete with other premium brands.

I'm in Edmonton Alberta and I would say the experience here was not one I would recommend. I recently had my car serviced at the authorized Hyundai dealer and the dealership was a **** show. Crowded parking lot, people lined up down into the showroom for the service department. The service department reminded me of some back alley discount shop or something. I can't say I'd buy another Genesis if they don't get their own dealership.
I really think Genesis recognizes this problem and I would think within this year or next you'll see the showrooms, service centers become separated.
