If you go the GV70 forum, you find a very long thread called "Trailer Hitch". Many people are asking about a hidden hitch and hate the aesthetics of the present Genesis trailer hitch. Appears, many people are waiting to buy a hitch (including myself) until they find one that looks better.

Add me to the list for a hidden hitch!!! The North American version is atrocious! Completely destroys the beautiful aesthetics of the rear of the GV70. If one can be offered in Australia, surely, an engineer somewhere can design one to meet NA standards.

Great for GV80 owners, but doesn't help GV70 owners unless its exact same fitment, which I doubt .

This is a rack receiver and cannot be used for towing.
The fine print on the one in your link: Detachable square rack receiver (2”) "NOT FOR TOWING"
And in the FAQ it asks..... Can it (rack receiver) be used for towing?
Answer: No, the square tube receiver is only used for racks, basically anything suspended from the ground. Also we do not test this device for towing because it reintroduces the loose fitting square tube connection and we no longer comply with the more stringent European testing. We have a warning sticker on the rack receiver to prevent this occurrence. Our zero play ball mount connects directly to the latch block to prevent movement at this connection.

I too am in search of a better hidden hitch option than the horrible North American factory option. A beautifully styled luxury vehicle should not have what looks like scaffolding dragging from it's rear to tow a trailer.

Adding my vote for the Australia version hitch. Haven’t gotten my GV70 yet but have it on order. Looked at two new ones today with the hitch and it is horrific. Agree that a lower profile is desperately needed.

Not sure if this is new info but also found that this removable hitch is sold in the UK and is one of the options there. Really need this in the U.S.
