Genesis dealers have been sending free thank you gifts to new G70, G80, G90 and GV80 owners. What did everyone here get so far? If nothing, that's very normal too as its entirely up to the dealer and not required.

I have not received anything. Was not expecting anything, but would be a nice touch. After all, they are trying to transition to a luxury stand-alone dealer network, but I would not necessarily expect my Hyundai dealership to do something like that yet. They do not yet have the facility, training, expected level of service and people to match what one would expect from a luxury maker.

Did not receive anything but a "thank you note" from the salesperson. Contacting Genesis and not receiving a reply is standard. During my research process, pre-order and buying process I contacted Genesis numerous times with questions. All inquires were met with the same response, nothing!

I got a custom wood baccarat game board with Genesis logo on it. I'll never play it but it's a nice looking display piece. A wine bottle with a Genesis custom label. I'll never drink it but it's a nice commemorative item that might be considered a collectible 30 years from now. A nice custom Genesis carrying bag and there were two or three other small items I cannot remember. I will post pictures when I get home.

I received a very nice gift basket from my Genesis dealer in Edmonton Alberta. First time I have ever received anything from a dealer (previous were 2x BMW, Volvo, KIA, Mazda, Ford, Subaru). Very nice gesture from them. A nice step to being a premium car dealer.

You must have paid full sticker.
Ha Ha I think I got a good deal - or at least I was quite happy with it. They gave me a very good trade in + $4K below sticker + winter mats.
Equally important is that they have been really good to deal with (no pressure - lots of access to extended test drives) . Of course the real test will be in service but thus far I have been impressed with their effort to be a "luxury" car dealer.

In Canada, you pay sticker price. The dealer gave you an extra $4,000 for your trade in.. Genesis Canada see all transactions, no discounts off MSRP.

This is true. $85K CDN for a new Prestige. The GV80 i purchased was sold as a demo (with only 250km). Trade in was already very fair as it was more than offered from Lexus and VW. It was significantly more than offered at either of the two BMW dealerships (I traded in a BMW). One of the reasons I purchased GV80 was how little BMW valued their own vehicles.

While I know dealerships can play many games in their pricing, the bottom line is I think I was treated good and was given a decent price. If the $4K was on trade-in thats still ok as it made it more than I was trying to sell privately!

The gift basket was just a nice touch on the sale.

That is quite the gift basket wow. Definitely a nice touch after getting a Prestige. Which color combination did you choose?

The gift basket is a nice touch. It is filled with items from Canada which is appreciated.

As I mentioned above we purchased a demo so did not get to pick colors. They had two to choose from and I offered same price for both. They accepted on a uyuni white and Obsidian Black interior. I initially would have preferred the Vanilla Beige Leather but I am now quite happy with the black. The black leather has very nice white contrast stitching which helps to make it not so dark inside. The GV80 has a few features either missing or I wished worked different, overall I am so far very pleased and would recommend.

I received nothing from my dealer. I fealt like once I signed the paperwork they wanted me out the door to move onto the next customer. Definitely not what I expected when purchasing a $72,000 vehicle.
Genesis definitely has to separate themselves from Hyundai and have their own showroom and service facilities along with dedicated (to Genesis only) salespeople.
If they want to seriously compete with other premium brands it'll be necessary.

Very nice! I used to receive gifts when I purchased Infinitis.
Your dealer did it the right way. Is it a dedicated Genesis dealer you purchased from or are they combined with Hyundai?

Very nice, did you purchase your GV80 at a dedicated Genesis dealership or it's shared with Hyundai? USA or Canada?

Yes its a nice touch. This is a dedicated dealer in Canada. In Canada the dealerships are separated. The dealership in Edmonton is located in a shopping mall. I think their plan is to deliver cars on test drives (or after purchase) directly to your house. With Covid restrictions you go to their dealership.

Very nice! I look forward to when Genesis dealership showrooms and service are entirely separate here in New Jersey. Anything less would not live up to the GV80 and the rest of the Genesis lineup.
