Have you tried try tracking down a GV80 demo that you can test drive?

This thread should also help:
I have the Prestige Package, seats are quite comfortable to me and my wife.

How do you like the seat bolsters and how much head room do you have? Thanks.
The seat bolsters are as wide or narrow as you want them to be. I have the Prestige model. The wife and I cross-shopped the Lexus RX350 F-Sport and those bolsters were tight. The GV80 is perfect for all body types. I’m 6’1” and lots of head room. You can lower the seat or raise it as high as you like. I don’t like plopping down into the drivers seat so I have the seat height set at about 1/2 ways. If you want to sit in the most comfy drivers seat ever.... try sitting in a Chevy Blazer. I’d never buy one but my god did they nail the drivers seat ergo’s in that vehicle! Better that anything we sat in including Audi, Volvo, Lexus, Mercedes etc...

Found out something new over the weekend. It was the first time I drove my GV80 at 80+ mph. When I hit 80 mph the side bolsters on my driver's seat tightened up automatically (in the same fashion as if I put the driver's setting in Sport mode). When my speed dropped below 70 mph the bolsters automatically loosened up again. I had no idea it would automatically tighten and loosen on its own as you speed up and slow down, an interesting feature!

I’ve noticed that if I keep my drivers side thermostat set to 70 that the Idle Stop and Go never engages. It’s still on but never turns the car off. Perhaps for those that don’t like ISG try setting the passenger side to 70 when in the car alone might help if you don’t want your side that low.

Interesting, actually yesterday my wife turned it down to 70 and I noticed the car was shutting down at some of the traffic lights. I think the ISG uses a lot of factors that determine whether it shuts down or not when stopped.

I think it may depend on the outside temp and if it feels it needs to stay on to maintain that temp it won’t shut off. So it might only work in some areas. Here it’s been in the 80s.

I just got a text message from my car telling me it’s hot outside and asking if I wanted to cool my car.

I think this is because it’s attached to my calendar and have someplace I need to go.

I thought it was interesting it wanted to pre-cool the car for me.

That's interesting, how much in advance of your appointment did it ask you that question? Did it factor in how much in advance you would have to leave to get to your destination on time (based on the distance to your destination)?
Was it a Google calendar?

It told me one hour before what time I’d have to leave to make the appointment. Then 30 minutes out it sent another reminder. Then 10 minutes before it asked if I wanted to cool the car. Then another reminder 1 minute before leaving time. It’s my iPhone calendar.

That's very interesting and a first!

I think it was because my appointment had a location so it used the traffic info to let me know how long the drive would take and knew when I should leave. It’s done the reminder thing before as this is a recurring appointment, but never asked if I wanted to cool the car. Before it wasn’t 87 degrees though.

Very interesting feature!

To GV80 owners and those that test driven them, what interesting quirks, features and functions have you discovered so far? Genesis included a lot and sharing our experience here will be a great way speed up the learning curve.
If you hit park button, then engine off button, all 4 doors unlock. If you hit engine off button first, the car will automatically shift to park, but the 2 rear doors stay in the locked position till you either use key fob or door control to release?

Does anyone know how to manage the maintenance needed alert that shows up. I have 7months and 3000 miles on car and just got a reminder that I was 2 days overdue- should toggle in at 8000 miles- any way to reset to 8000?

My understanding is that the interval should for the GV80 should be 6 months or 7500 miles, whichever comes first.

When I use the hold button , while waiting at a light and the car in front of me moves away and I'm not paying attention the GV80 chimes and shows me on dash that the front car has moved.

it will also do this without auto hold with just your foot on the brake. It’s a setting for the car.
