I have a GV70 Sport Prestige 2.5. I have sustained scuffs on the wheels right where the tire meets the wheel. The damage is not the result of curbing the wheel as the car has never been parallel parked. there is no indication the the tire has impacted anything as there is no damage to the tire. I can only guess that the damage is the result of the rails or some device in a car wash. The car has been thru a wash 2 times and it was shortly after I noticed the scuffs on the edge of 3 wheels.
Has anyone had a similar experience.

This is exactly why you shouldn't use the type of car wash that "pulls" your vehicle through. The low profile tires on most vehicles today are just not tall enough to prevent this type of damage. Switch to a touchless car wash, or wash by hand are really your only choices.

Not with my Genesis, but i THINK this happened with my Lexus-- I now only use drive in car washes that are brushless and no rails that just has a stop area...

I have a gv70 and the clear coat is very soft , even a safe wash is causing swirls on the paint , the car wash you used will destroy the paintwork and wheels and these cheap hand car washes will do the same , you need to learn how to do safe washes or take it to a detailer
