The GV80 measures at 4,945 mm length x 1,975 mm width x 1,715 mm height, dimensions that might max out garage space some owners have. Has anyone ran into problems so far? What changes were made so it can fit?
Or do you park outside because there's just no way to get around the space limitations? If so, what tips do you have for protecting the exterior (paint, wheels, trim, etc.) from the elements?

My jeep can open all the way, i figure the extra 5” wont be too different. Right now I’m looking at a F150 Limited, Ram Limited, Jeep GC SRT or the GV80. They all fit in the garage though the truck barely fit lol.

Agreed, Won't a QX80 fit too?
An Infiniti QX80 or a Lincoln Navigator would fit in my garage too but it would be a really tight fit quite honestly. I've been parking an Infiniti Q70 in my garage for years and the GV80 is actually an inch shorter. And mine isn't even the Q70-L version which is a whopping 7 inches longer than the GV80.

What does the GV80 require in terms of "markings" to employ the remote assist parking ? Will the GV80 require lines on my floor to pull in ( my garage is tight horizontally) ...

I’ve read online somewhere that people feel the automated parking assist won’t work in the narrow confines of some garages. I hope that’s not true, I’d like to use that feature when mine arrives.

AMy GV80 fits in my garage , though not by much ! I use the cameras to be sure that I dont run into my woodworking bench - and after last night, I've decided not to try and back it in if I've had a galass or tow of wine !!

I used the Loctite PowerGrab adhesive to fasten wheel chocks to the concrete garage floor. I fastened the wheel chocks where the front of the GV80 is very close to the front wall of my garage. This way it leaves a generous amount of room behind the GV80, enough that even with the garage door closed I can open up the tailgate without running the risk of the tailgate hitting the garage door if it's down. It's a little tight on the sides but not uncomfortably tight.

@AJB thanks for sharing those pictures and showing the wheel chocks.
Are you planning to add anything else? Or are you about done with the garage setup?

I feel like even a smaller garage can fit this no problem. It’s not much bigger than a forester. Akin to a Hyundai Tucson or Kia Sorento. It’s not a Pallisade or Telluride.
I discovered that the issue is more with much older homes.

I should be done. I did all that for my wife, she was somewhat nervous about putting the GV80 in the garage. I thought what I did would make it a little more comfortable for her.

Its truly the best thing to do in a smaller garage like that.

How have you/your wife found maneuvering the GV80 in/out of the garage and parking spots in general? Are things like visibility, the backup cameras, etc. helping enough or is it hindered in some situations?
