Wipers and Floor Mats

I have two different issues that I wonder if others have.
First, is anybody else really irritated by the whiney noise the wiper motor makes. If I don’t have the radio on or something, then I can’t unhear the perpetual noise from the wiper motor when they’re on.
Second, I received my carpeted floor mats in the mail recently to replace the all weather ones that came with my car. I just put them in and the rear one doesn’t even come close to fitting properly. If you l it in with the two hooks, then there is a big ‘bubble’ over the center hump.
Anybody else have these issues?
Don’t get me wrong...still love the GV80 but it isn’t perfect.

That’s not common. The cloth floor mats that came with my car fits perfectly

Ouch, that back floor mat isn't sized properly. I have the separate floor mats in the back, so I don't have that issue. Can you return it and get the separate floor mats for your back?
I wonder if what they sent me was for a different vehicle...maybe one with a higher ‘hump’ in the middle.
But, if you have separate mats in the back, then I want those!

If I listen very closely I can hear the motor but it’s very faint. My carpet floor mat relaxed and now fits the hump contour. Took about a week.

Good point, they (what they sent you) may be for a different vehicle. The separate mats work great.
I thought I was hearing things.....but yeah, its there, and is mildly annoying...no reason for a new motor to have any sound...Plus , its like when you see something weird or awful, you can't unsee it.....Here , its now that I've heard it I can't unhear it.

I can hear it slightly.
So, I called Genesis customer service today about the poor fitting floor mats. They said they probably sent me G80 mats in error, but they couldn’t help me anymore. Said that a program was set up with dealers to handle going forward.
Also said that I’d have to bring my mats back to the dealer in order to get the right ones. My dealer is 41 miles away. I asked if he really thought I should have to drive 82 miles round trip to fix their error, and he said that’s his only solution. So, Genesis officially isn’t the customer friendly company they say they are.
I called my dealer and they said they’d look into it and call me back. They, too, were surprised by Genesis’ response.

That's not the answer you would hope for from Genesis. The GV80 is a premium vehicle with a premium price tag, especially if it's a Prestige model with the 3.5TT . If your dealer doesn't replace (since it was their error) it with the correct mat I would definitely escalate this issue and ask for a regional manager or you'll use social media to share your experience and disapproval. That's just not right.
Update. Last week the dealer said he’d ordered me a set of new mats and would ship to me. They just arrived....and are the exact same ones I got before. The long single rear mat that doesn’t even come close to fitting the ‘hump’.
What type of rear mats do others have? Two piece? Or one piece that actually fits?
Anybody have pics of mats that fit so I can show my dealer?
Anybody want to chime in? I’d still like to know what type of carpeted floor mats people have for the second row. Dealer had mailed me two sets so far that both have a single mat for second row and it doesn’t come close to fitting properly.
Pics of separate mats would be great ammunition for me to push the issue.

Same in Canada, the second row mat is a one piece and yes it loosely fits over the centre hump.

Thank you for replying. Although that is a sad result. How can they expect people to be OK with such an ill fitting mat?
I have the same problem with my rear mat. Genesis customer care acknowledged an issue; they want me to drive 55 miles for the closest dealer to photograph the mat and file a claim. They cashed my 75K check with no hesitation but don't trust me to send a $50. mat. Absurd!!!
I actually have the Genesis all weather mats, which are great for winter. They came with my car because apparently Genesis had run out of the carpeted mats.
But, they are ugly, shiny black mats which is why I insisted they send me the carpeted ones as well.
Can you include a link for those? They look great!

It would also be great to see pictures as well!
