Curious if anyone has seen or heard if possible for software upgrade to enable this for the 2023?

I know it's been talked about just so hard to believe this isn't a thing with these. Getting my 3.5 in a few weeks and it's something I'm already not happy about plugging in cables anymore

Hmm really everyone on here has said they seem to get flakey or take like 30 seconds to a minute to start?

Any you can point me to that are good?

Mine starts up in about 10 seconds. Only rarely does it fail to boot, but I just unplug & replug.
Which? Android or CarPlay? Some are different dongles.
Carlinkit 4.0 seems to handle both (I have 3.0)

Android auto for me.

Just want something that works doesn't have to be flawless just hate to mess with a cable every time getting in and out the vehicle

Curiosity got to me, thanks to you! Went to their web site, and discovered they can have updates.
Connected in car, went to their link (192.168.50.2) and got, not 1, but 3 updates to my unit!

Update! (Pun intended )
After the 3 updates to my Carlinkit, if is blazingly fast to connect when I start the car! Maybe 5 seconds. So far, 100% connection too. Life is good!

WARNING!!!!! I should have quit after the 3rd update, but wanted to see if any more were available. I have now totally 'bricked' my Carlinkit--it will not boot. According to their web site, the only support # is in China--nope, not gonna!
The only email goes to sales, which I will try, but not holding out hope!
For now, I'm cord only. 🙁
Moral: It's OK to update, just don't go too far.

Well, I decided to toss it to my own stupidity and ordered, from Amazon, the 4.0 version. It has a $30 coupon discount, making it $79.85 +tax. Will have it tomorrow. Live & learn!

Update:
I tried every conceivable combination of starting, plugging in, resetting, etc. NO WAY can I get the car to recognize the Carlinkit nor can I get my iPhone 12 Pro Max with the newest, 16.1, update to recognize it either.

I just eMailed them at [email protected]. If I do not get a viable answer within a few days, it's going back to Amazon!

Totally frustrated.

I purchased the CARabc wireless CarPlay dongle for $44 from Amazon plugged it into the Media USB in my GV 70 and it works perfectly for iPhone.

Further update:
After 3 days, I got an answer from Carlinkit. Told me that I had to be away from any other Bluetooth AND wireless before it would connect. Tried with no luck.
Also, they said to reset using their web address. Ha ha! No way to do that if the adaptor will not connect to the car or phone!

It's on it's way back to Amazon. Arriving today, on advice from another Carlinkit dissatisfied user is a Elaecc wireless adaptor. Supposedly it works well and is faster. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B4K1FNTC?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image
