Brand new 2026 (2.5L Advanced) with rough cold start idle

I've had the car for 2 months and it now has 1100 miles. It has had a rough idle since day one on a cold start and it takes about 5-7 minutes of driving before it disappears. The car physically jerks going down the road. I've had it to the dealer twice and it is getting more pronounced. It shows no codes during diagnostics.

Service manager says they drove 3 or 4 of other 2.5L cars on the lot and they ALL had that issue. Says Genesis is aware of it but there is no fix yet.

I don't believe it. If they ALL had this issue, people would be storming the dealers demanding a fix.

Anyone else have this problem?

Dealerships will be the failing of the Genesis brand. In any event, stop by the dealership and tell a salesman you want to test drive a car that as closely mimics yours as possible. Be up front and say you want to see if they all "behave" the way yours does. You shouldn't need to be more specific than that. I've done it with BMW, Audi, and Subaru dealerships and never been refused.

Thanks. That was my thought as well. I will do that this week and post results. No way is this “normal” and acknowledged by Corp as a problem.
