It would be nice when peeps respond to any posting that they reveal what year and model they are talking about, maybe even the mileage. In this case ( Dkuro ) I don't know if there is a factory dash cam on our GV60, or is yours an option that came with yours ? ALSO it would be extra nice if responders would indicate where and who their dealer is. If it the dealer where we took our Gv60 I'd surely want to know. Thanks

P.S. We FINALLY recoieved a notice from the Genesis gods that a replacement battery is on its way to the dealership. HEY THATS SOME NEWS RIGHT ? Still racking up the miles on the loaner Hyundai Tucson.....not a bad vehicle.
Sorry, I didn’t want to repeat everything that was said in an earlier post on this thread. I have a 2024 GV60p with an aftermarket dash cam I’ve had on the car over a year (with about 3800 miles). The car does not have a factory dashcam option as far as I know. The dealer is Genesis of South Bay in southern California. To be fair, I think a lot of dealers are going to blame electrical problems on aftermarket equipment, but to return the car without even really diagnosing the problem by just assuming the problem is the dashcam seems inexcusable. The dashcam is easily disabled by unplugging it. And I still have the annoying voice telling me I have an electrical problem every time I start the car.

That is a pretty hokey reason to blame the dash cam...jeeze !!
When we had the car prompt about our electrical issue we ALSO got a call from Genesis to bring it in for a checkup. Yeah, and having said that, I wonder if issues like you describe might just be a matter of plugging in a tester gadget and RESET or shut off that notice. Again I know ZERO about these cars electrically.

I have tried the posted method to get into the secret dealer menu but I can’t get in. If I could I’m pretty sure I could reset the annoying error message.

Great news on the impending battery exchange. Hopefully they can provide background on the cause of the issue. Bad batch of batteries and VIN numbers affected, other component issue, etc? Please keep us all informed. thx

Interesting that it might have been a batch of batteries. My GV60 2025 12v battery issue was finally well addressed by the dealer in White Plains (after two jump starts).

Now that is interesting to me. If I am interpreting you correctly it sounds like there is a seperate 12 volt battery, just like our gas powered cars that do duties i'm not informed of.
Our Audi, older Mercedes and my motorcycle are plugged into a 750 milivolt mini charger for longer than a week sitting periods. Draws like the computer can eventually bring the battery down. Is that what the 12 volt battery does in our GV60? If so what other systems does it run ? Thanks for your responces.

Yes, there is a separate 12V battery in the frunk, and it is critical to providing lower voltage to start the vehicle computers as well as other functions. The 12V battery is supposed to be charged-up by the ICCU system which draws its power from the main HV traction battery. But, the ICCU is notorious for various problems, to include complete failure that requires complete replacement. The ICCU is therefore the subject of multiple recalls which have attempted to "fix" its problems via software, but many have reported continuing issues.

I did have that problem, which caused the 12v to discharge, seemingly fixed after update in January. Tesla also has a 12v, but it seems to charge more efficiently off the HV battery. The Genesis may run down if the fob is left in the car due to constant communication with the servers, for example. I leave my EV60 on a trickle charger for more than a week away, and that has been satisfactory. The SC tells me it should last 3 weeks at least (eg in an airport parking lot) but havent tested that theory.

LEARNING MORE HERE~~~>thanks GeeRees.
"I leave my EV60 on a trickle charger for more than a week away, " (Your words)

I would do that now after hearing your responce, now my question is....Is that 12V battery easily aceessed in the front trunk area ? I now have three 750 milivolt plug in chargers for maintaining our other cars so when we are gone (up to 30 days) NOW the GV60 will get one plugged into it.
I had no idea I would have to keep vigilance on it like the other cars ...THANK YOU !!

Yes, coming out of. Tesla it’s a bit disappointing, since we could just leave the Tesla plugged in to a Level 2 charger at
Home and not worry about it for even up to 3 months.
Anyway, the Genesis 12v is in the frunk; open the cover; pop the plastic rivet (easily with a screwdriver) on the right, then pop the plastic cover. It will seem to need a lot of pressure the first time, then you’ll know how to do it. I can send photos tomorrow. The (+) terminal is under a small marked lid.

Thank you sir. I don't have the GV here yet, but I will look at your instrautions when we get it back.

My 2024 GV60 has been sitting in the garage idle twice this year. First time way 27 days and the second was 22 days.Started right up as soon as I pressed the button . I live in South Florida, could a cold climate be a factor?

Delray~I don't think any of us are having startup issues. Our discussion lately on this thread is about,......IF YOU LAEVE THE CAR UNATTENDED FOR LONG PERIODS WOULD IT NEED TO BE PUT ON A BATTERY TENDER. The excepted answer here seems to be NO. And your observations seems to support that ...thanks for your imput.

I have been following this post for a little while and can't believe you would ever need to put a tender on your 12V battery. I don't own the GV60, but do have the eGV70. The 12 volt battery gets charged periodically from the 800V drive system. I have let my vehicle sit for days and never see the 800V battery lose any life from charging the 12V battery. I do see that the 12V battery calls for a charge several times a day. The yellow light on the dash comes on letting me know. Plus, I will notice at the "Vehicle Status" tab of Connected Service app that the charge level has climbed since the last time I saw it. The 12V battery icon is in the upper right corner of that screen. I would think that I could leave my vehicle parked idle for a year and not have the 12v battery discharge. Unlike an ICE vehicle where you need to start it occasionally to run the alternator, an EV borrows a little from the 800V batteries. Maybe the GV60 is different from the GV70. Or, there is an issue with the 12V charging system that needs to be addressed.

I haven't had a problem with my 12-volt battery nor was being able to charge over 80%. However I do see that the car loses charge if I leave the doors unlocked. My car is Garage in my backyard behind the gate and so we typically don't lock things up. But if I don't lock the car it seems to drain faster. So I just use the app and lock my car when I know I'm not going to be in and out of it. Don't know if the supplies to anybody else but thought I would add this to the mix
