For my last three builds I have always found a section to highlight as I went my build. As I am new here I do not see that nor do I want to post in the wrong arena. Heck there may not be any interest but I personally like to keep track and am excited to see where I am as opposed to where I was. Please if you know where to post, let me know.
Is there a section where as you mod you can list it ?

I love the mods you have done AudiDad. It's nice to be able to make your car your own. I ordered the car mats from Car Mats Customs for my 2021 GV80. I am finding some fitment issues. For instance the front seats on on a pedestal but there is no provisions like a seam or crease in the floor mats to form to this contour. The mats come straight out and just hangs over the pedestal leaving a large gap between the mat and the floor. There were some random pieces of Velcro in the packaging but zero instructions on how to place the mats, how to secure them, and where they recommend using the Velcro. I was just wondering if you had any fitment issues and did your mats fit around your front seats? ThanksHere you go

Glad to hear you are back. So since you seamed to be pleased with your Car Mats could you please address how your mats are fitting, especially the front mats against the front seat area. Thanks

I have TuxMats in the fronts, oem carpets in the rear and custom mats in my rear cargo area. I have yet to find a vendor who will make custom second row floor mats ( all weathers ) for that area. The custom rear mat in the cargo area is spot on fitment wise and minus the cost I would easily suggest this for someone.

Smartliner sells an all weather mat which covers both foot wells and the hump in one piece for the GV70. I have it in mine.

Sorry about that. I just checked their website and surprisingly, they don't make any for the GV80. GV80's a popular car, so I don't know why they wouldn't make them?

Sadly no as we have found out because I have a Signature model and they don’t make a lot of those none of the weather mat folks are doing it for my second row. It comes down to me having a center console back there that is longer then what would be in a 5 or 7 seater vehicle..

It’s ok WeatherTech had sent me a set for the rear since they swore it would fit, it did not lol. They also sent me a cargo mat which also did not fit which was really wild. So both of those were sent back. TuxMats don’t make rear floor mats since they said they never received Signature Prestige models there and even then it’s not in demand. So needless to say I’m using the oem factory floor mats..

Nope and we know this because the parts department and I used several of what they had to see if we could find any fitment that may possibly work. The blessing is even though I run two sets of elderly parents around, I use our GV70 for that. Right now all of my oem mats minus the ones for the second row are still in plastic in storage.

Yes I belong to several show car venues from my days with my Audi and my Rams. It’s a way for us to spend more time together and meet like minded folks. We have everything from 1940’s vehicles up until 2024 ones. You can be stock, slightly modded, heavily modded or show only.
