I was shocked and disappointed that my car wasn’t vacuumed not vacuumed & or washed before returning to me after my first 8,000 mile service !!
Has anyone else had this experience or is it just my dealership that doesn’t provide this “valet” luxury car service???

I've never had a dealer vacuum any of my cars in 50+ years. The combo Genesis/Hyundai dealer I bought my GV70 from 3 years ago washed it each time, but it changed hands last year and is now a Hyundai-only dealership. I had my car serviced last month at a standalone Genesis dealer that opened last year, and my car was not washed. Disappointing, but I also realize some owners don't want anybody else to wash their vehicles. I'll be sure to request it next time.

My previous car was an Infinity QX80 and they always washed & vacuumed my car when I took in for service. I guess I got spoiled 🤔

My Genesis has never received a wash or vacuum over five visits in 25,000 miles. After the second visit, I asked them whether they do this, and they gave me a gift card at a local car wash. Every time I take in my Lexus or Mercedes or Audi or Bentley or even Toyota most of the time, for whatever reason, it gets both of those. If Genesis plan to compete with the likes of Lexus, they need to do that without fail at every visit at every dealership.

Genesis still has a loooong way to go on the dealership experience side. Our dealer finally opened the Genesis only dealership. Hoping for a better experience there than from cornerof-the-showroom Hyundai side. But they still don't have loaners readily available, and the promised concierge-delivery-exchange of a loaner is crazy 3 month wait.

In contrast, my Audi dealership not only washes and vacuums(at least the front), on every service call. But they offer complimentary wash/vacuum any time I want.....without a service. I use it as one of my coffee-shop alternatives. They have a pretty nice espresso machine, and snacks in the lounge. And they often ask if I want it hand washed to avoid the machine swirl marks. The wait for parts, however, is similar to Genesis. Every recall seems to be a week long process.
The free-wash experience was the same at 2 previous dealerships. BMW and MB.

Yes, I was surprised. They try to make it look like MB or BMW white glove service department but they were understaffed and a wash (even excluding the vacuum) was not in the cards.

40 years of Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Lexus where the car was spotless after a service.....or in the case of Fletcher Jones Mercedes in Newport Beach, just drive in and ask for a wash and you can go inside and get a sandwich while they do it.

It's hard to soar with eagles when you work like turkey's

I need to give a shout out to Genesis of Corona in Southern California. They called me about a safety recall and it just happened to coincide with my first service appt on my 2025 GV80. We picked a day/time and they called the night before to confirm. Then they called me on their way to deliver my loaner and asked if I would like anything from Starbucks. The vehicle should be in service for a day and will be returned washed (not sure about vacuumed). I am very impressed by their service so far!

Also, I previously owned a VW Tiguan purchased from their sister dealership right next door. As part of my deal, I was given free car washes at VW whenever I wanted. I negotiated that into my Genesis deal as well. It is a great perk and the people are so nice at the VW dealership. I give the car wash attendant $5 for his trouble each time and I take some Christmas cookies into the service dept each year. I guess I am just lucky.
