Regarding Carbon Fiber side view mirror caps be sure to check them carefully when you receive them. I didn’t - my driver side CF cap came scratched. Feel really stupid not checking both - looked at me and it wasn’t until the shop that does work for me went to PPF that it was discovered. On another note - powder coated calipers finally came back today - here are the pics - I am really happy with my choice as there are a gazillion color choices and combos.

At the rate mine are being shipped to me, I’m going to end up just posting them for sale if and when they arrive. Your powder coating is looking fierce, when I have mine done I want them to leave off the Genesis part.

I wanted to keep the Genesis part - I'm
Looking forward to seeing how yours will look .. both the color and without the name. The color you have picked out is awesome. I can’t even begin to tell you how many Prismatic Powder samples I bought over several months.

They sent me a link to the website where they after I chose would send me samples to place alongside. With my Audi after the calipers were done I had lettering done and loved it. With this one I want stealth, or as much as I can lol. My GV70 will be done caliper wise next week so I’ll be posting those photos asap.

So I love the look, but how do they either keep the Genesis letters on there or get new ones on while powder coating?

Received my latest “goodies” from Korea courtesy of RPMTRADE (rpmtrade@gmail.com) Products are from AIMBAN - purchased headrest (thankfully it works as there was a possibility it wouldn’t work on US version of GV80), seat cushion, backseat covers for both driver and passenger side along with the GV60 Crystal Orb shift lever which I am going to attempt to retrofit into the GV80. Otherwise it will become a very expensive paperweight on my desk. Here are pics from AIMBAN site- they make great products that match look of Genesis interiors.

The lettering is added after the calipers have cured. They have equipment to laser cut any vehicle logo/lettiering. The lettering created is the same exact lettering/font/style that were on calipers from the factory.

Thanks you. I wonder how I find a shop of such caliber. I thought about having the powder coating done but didn't want to lose the letters. I didn't know such capabilities exist.

Well definitely need to find a reputable shop that knows what they are doing. Process involves taking apart the calipers , bleeding the brakes, etc.. As for the letting that’s a personal choice - some folks want to delete to have a “stealth” look but I wanted to maintain the Genesis lettering exactly as it was from the factory. Any good shop will be able to do that for you. Definitely shop around - read reviews and perhaps can get a recommendation someone you trust that either had their calipers powder coated or knows someone who did. Will run you around $1100-$1200.
